Anarchy Online: Helpful Camera Tips for New Players

In Anarchy Online, there are 3 types of camera modes.

First person:

If you don’t like bumping your “head” against the ceiling, it’s good for blitzing and missions in general. General tips for this mode when blitzing: Turn off auto attack; Go on full defence; Blitzing tips are covered elsewhere on this faq's board.

3rd person bouncy camera of death:

This kind is the generic camera mode that AO ships with. It will get you killed.

3rd person sticky camera:

Place the camera at the angle you want, leave it stays there. If you ever played Asheron’s Call, this is the mode for you. Press CTRL+F8 to get into this mode.

To switch to first person from bouncy doom mode, press F8
To switch to good 3rd person mode, press CTRL-F8
To switch to bouncy doom mode, first go to first person, then press F8 again. And prepair for nausia. I'm not taking responsability for lost lunch.
To select yourself, press F1. Great for when in first person, and you need to get that first aid kit on.
