DDO Information FAQ

DDO as a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-play game) has been released a long time and a large of DDO players yet it is not as popular as World of Warcraft. 25.0.1 What classes is this game going to include?
This game will include Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Wizard. Tactics will also have five Prestige classes and two Psionic classes. DDO new comers could choose the characters which you like.

25.0.2 What type of multiplayer?
The game allows for six seats in the multiplayer mode, plus a co-op and a deathmatch In the competitive multiplayer mode, one assumes the role of a dungeon master (DM) who will have information for the entire party stored on a memory stick. Other multiplayer game types in D&D Tactics include a gladiator mode where the goal is to slaughter the most number of monsters, deathmatches and treasure hunts.

25.0.3 What are some more details about the gameplay?
You'll spend your time on an overview map to buy and sell gear, resurrect characters, and watch the oil-painted story scenes, but you'll go into individual maps for combat (and the occasional looting of a chest while your there).

25.0.4 How are the character traits set up?
Feats, the super-traits that help define a character, often include their exact rules effects in their descriptions, but not always. And they don't list what other feats they make available, making plotting a character's advancement tough. These are all bits of information you can find, but it involves opening up your pen and paper rules and going through those - exactly what D&D fans are hoping to not have to do, and exactly what non-D&D fans absolutely aren't going to do.

25.0.5 Do you need to be experienced with D&D to enjoy Tactics?
While a solid understanding of D&D would be beneficial, the game has been designed to be accessible to the casual PSP user. You can simply hit Quickstart from the Main Menu and be on your way, letting the game guide you through the experience. There is a Glossary and Help text for most actions – so you should never be lost. For the more D&D-literate (and for those that play the game for any length of time) knowledge and strategy will pay off. Movement and flanking are important, and intelligent use of spells will make the campaign a lot easier.

25.0.6 How long is the single player campaign?
The single player is a very solid 40 hour campaign.

25.0.7 What kind of load times does this game have?
You will have a single load for an adventure – so you could go 10 to 30 minutes without hitting the UMD.
