EQ Plat Guide: Game Basics

EverQuest is a "Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game". In it, you take the role of an adventurer and set out to make your mark on the World of Norrath. You will have your EverQuest Platinum and EverQuest Power Leveling.

You are able to choose from multiple races including:

Human
Half Elf
High Elf
Wood Elf
Dark Elf
Barbarian
Eurdite
Dwarf
Halfling
Gnome
Troll
Ogre

This guide will use many terms that may be unfamiliar to people who have not played EverQuest before. We will help you by offer your EQ Plat and EQ Power Leveling service. Here is a short list of some of the terms that will be used in this guide:

Mob: Another term for monster, spawn, etc.
Spawn: When mob "appears" in EverQuest, it is considered a spawn. For example, if a camp full of Orcs is replenishing itself slowly, it is having a slow spawn.
Cp: Copper Pieces, the lowest form of currency.
Sp: Silver Pieces.
Gp: Gold Pieces
Pp: Platinum Pieces, the highest form of currency.
Train: When someone is fighting a mob, and gets in a little over their head, they may run. Many mobs will help each other out, so if one sees another one running, he will join in on the fun. This has a snowball effect where mobs will continue to be added to the line, forming a Train. These usually head directly to the zone. In some areas, such as Unrest, Mistmoore, Sol A and B, and Cazic Thule when you hear shouts of "Train" run to the zone line as fast as you can (or gate out if you are a caster).
Zone: Areas in EverQuest are called "zones". Each of these have "zone lines" that load up the next zone when you cross them.
Exp: Short for experience.
Yard Trash: This is a term for wandering mobs in a certain area. For example, the bugs and low level undead in the area surrounding the house in Unrest are considered "Yard Trash".
Camp/Camping: To sit in one spot to kill a specific mob.
Drop: Another term for what a mob has in terms of loot.
Nuke: To blast a target with spells.
