An e-mail from Blizzard informing the viruses matter will send to the infected players. Fake WoW beta invite emails distributed
Many fake WoW beta invite e-mails have been sending to WoW players. Players are invited to experience the beta for the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, Cataclysm. The letter reads legitimate enough but the URL that was shown in the email was different from the one that showed up on the webpage. "betasignup.com" is definitely not a Blizzard site.
However, if you do follow the link, the fake site will ask for your account name, email address, and password. After entering you account information, a note pop out "In order to ensure all accepted beta applicants have enough play time on their accounts, a 60 day pre-paid Game card is required." See, they want to hack your WoW accounts as well as a 60-day pre-paid Game card!
