Profession You Should Take with Enchanting

In World of Warcraft, Enchanting is always considered by players as a stand-alone profession. It is more like tailoring, Enchanting gives you the required skill to get materials and make something out of them. So usually, you don't need a second profession to support your craft like other professions. Such as Blacksmithing needs mining for most of the way up to 300.

Enchanting and Leatherworking

As a second skill, leatherworking works well than tailoring. Firstly, cloth costs more than leather, sell your cloth and buy twice as much leather at the Auction House for making items. And Green leather armor uses less special items to make. Lots of patterns only need leather and thread. And leather armor has a greater chance to Disenchanting into essences. No cloth armor that Disenchanting's into essences over 30% of the time, with leather there are several and they only need leather and thread to make! Look hard enough and you will find that for 1.5 WOW Gold in leatherworking mats you can make 10 Gold worth of essences 30% of the time, the other 70% you only make 1 to 3 gold. And 10 items cost 15 Gold to make. So, for the cost of 15 Gold in Leatherworking mats, you can make 44 WOW Gold in Enchanting mats. Need WOW money? Sell the mats and make more.

Enchanting and Tailoring

Another combination you should try is Enchanting and Tailoring. With this combination, you can make your own items to disenchant. And the catch is a minor one: you won't get any weapons made from tailoring, so getting essences can be slightly harder. If you take out cloth as a source of income you will become even poorer.

Enchanting with A Gathering Skill

You can also choose a gathering skill to go with enchanting. So you can make World of Warcraft money and buy items off the Auction House. Even though, it helps you free up any cloth you find to be sold, it also means you need to either go after beasts in particular if you choose skinning or out of your way for resource nodes herbalism or mining. Out of these skills, probably would make the most on its own, as two professions need a lot of ore.

However, some players hold the idea that enchanting shouldn't be suggested as a profession until later in the game. They think low level enchanting will not make many WOW money. And at the beginning, pick a profession that will make you some WOW money. At low levels, most items vendor for more than they are worth in enchanting mats. Most low level enchants are given away free from enchanters looking to get a skill-up. Even mid to high level enchants are usually sold for less than the cost of the mats. And later in the game it is very easy to skill up enchanting to the higher levels. Enchanting starts costing more and more World of Warcraft money to skill up around skill level 250.
